Charterboat at dock off Great Bay
Welcome to the charterboat Karen Ann II. She is berthed at Great Bay Marina in Little Egg Harbor, NJ, just a short run from Little Egg Inlet. The slip features a convenient finger pier for easy loading and un-loading of passengers and gear, and parking is available directly behind the boat. Fresh water is available at the dock, and the marina offers a restaurant, tackle shop, and rest rooms with showers.

New Jersey charterboat
In addition to the huge cockpit, the boat features a unique 3/4 walk-around design. This provides additional fishing room which is especially useful when drifting, whether it's inshore for fluke and weakfish or offshore for sharks and tuna. It's also a great spot to get out of the wind on those not so nice days, and the overhang offers protection from both the sun and the rain.

Return

Wheelhouse of the charterboat
You have just stepped inside the back door of the wheelhouse looking forward. To your left and right are spacious bench seats for up to 6 people. This is a "working" configuration for the captain...you won't find him sitting up on a bridge out of touch with what's going on in the cockpit. He's right there next to you, personally netting your catch of the day!

Return

Charterboat cabin
As you make your way down the steps into the huge cabin below, note the GPS EPIRB on your left, always at the ready in the event of an emergency. Current size and bag limits are conveniently posted for quick reference to the right. Once down forward, there is a galley cabinet with microwave on the left, and to the right is the fully enclosed head. Spacious bunks are up forward and can easily accomodate multiple passengers, helping those offshore runs go by just a little quicker.

Return

Enclosed head aboard the charterboat
The enclosed head affords you privacy when you need it most. A jug of fresh cold water sits atop the vanity for you to catch a drink to cool off on the hot days and wash up after another great day of fishing.

Return

Charterboat wheelhouse
As you come back up from down forward grasping the conveniently placed hand rail, you get an even better sense of how BIG this wheelhouse and entire boat really is. Penn rods and reels are available for all members of your party, and all other bait and tackle is included. Just bring what you like to eat and drink!

Return

Huge cockpit on this charterboat
Look at all the fishing room in the 175+ sq. foot cockpit. Gaffs and nets are neatly stowed under the gunwales, out of your way, but always at the ready to help land the big one! That 178 qt. cooler sure looks small back there. It's just waiting for you to book a trip and fill it!

Return

New Jersey charterboat
Before leaving, you take another look up the starboard gunwale. Can't you see yourself standing there, reeling in the big one? Imagine yourself somewhere else along the over 50 foot of rail...that's the captain's spot!
